Elias Neocleous, head of our firm’s corporate and commercial department, was again invited to speak at a series of conferences organised by Academy & Finance and held in Geneva and Luxembourg on 27 and 28 April. The conferences, with the common theme “Russian Clients: fiscal challenges, robust structures and asset protection” attracted a large audience of professional advisers to Russian businesses and high net worth individuals.

Against the backdrop of the ever-increasing attention to substance and compliance under international tax initiatives such as the OECD BEPS project Elias brought the audience up to date with the most important recent changes in the Cyprus tax and regulatory regimes, highlighting the island’s commitment to maintaining and developing its highly-prized relationship with Russia and Russian entrepreneurs.
