Final deadline for submission of annual returns

Section 327 of the Companies Law provides that a company may be deleted from the register of companies if it appears to the registrar of companies that it is not carrying on business or in operation.

In this connection the registrar of companies has announced that steps will be taken to delete companies which have not filed their annual returns as required by the Companies Law.  In November 2015 the registrar announced a deadline of 31 March 2016 for companies to submit annual returns. On 26 October the registrar of companies announced a final extension for the submission of outstanding annual reports with the corresponding financial statements to 31 December 2016. According to the announcement, this date will be strictly adhered to and not extended any further, and companies which do not comply will be deleted from the register without further notice
